CompTIA's Storage+ Powered by SNIA is a vendor-neutral certification that validates the knowledge and skills required of IT storage professionals.


Strengthen your knowledge in storage concepts, storage related networking and storage related disaster planning/recovery while preparing to take the CompTIA Storage+ certification exam.

Target audience:

IT professionals currently working in an environment with enterprise storage or storage needs.  CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or similar certification and experience are recommended, but not required prerequisites.

In this three part series, Nigel Poulton walks you through the concepts needed to prepare you for the Storage+ certification. He starts out with the fundamentals of storage, the some of the most common storage array types. In Part 2, he moves into some data center storage and networking needs. To wrap up the series, Nigel covers troubleshooting and other storage management topics.

The CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA certification requires you to pass just a single exam, SGO-001.  The exam is 100 questions and you have 90 minutes to take the exam. As the SGO-001 exam is a partnership between CompTIA and the SNIA, you will receive CompTIA Storage+ certification which also qualifies as passing the SCSP level certification with SNIA.
